Events of last having been getting wild at Be-Wild Events and on Tuesday the 2nd of May it will get even wilder!

Pictorial Candi currently a dream pop, post-vapor, experimental pop singer, songwriter, dancer, - humbly, the Queen of the Warsaw underground. I say currently because she used to be the crazy singer and front woman in the explosive japanese pop/math rock band Paristetris.

Her album was one of five best tape releases of May 2016 by Electronic beats: http://www.electronicbeats.net/five-best-cassette-releases-may-2016/

Here’s a review from Tiny Mixed Tapes: http://www.tinymixtapes.com/music-review/pictorial-candi-forever-till-you-die

And here’s a bit about her:

“The biography, well even the name, of Candelaria Saenz Valiente aka Pictorial Candi reads as if it had flowed through the pen of Wes Anderson himself. Valiente grew up in Argentina and completed her studies at the Buenos Aires Universidad del Cine and at Boston’s Berklee School of Music. Upon graduation she wrote a collection of short stories and a novel. She then proceeded to invent the Ebertonium Candidus, a synthesizer with the power to illuminate lightbulbs. Next, she released music in the form of 600 bottles of lemonade and performance in a piece called “La sensación de ser Mr. Luxus Reinstaldt.” Nowadays Valiente lives in Warsaw, and her soon-to-be-released album “Forever Till You Die” is another fascinating, intricate puzzle piece in the assembling of a whimsical and abstracted world. In it, Valiente meanders like a sleepwalker through eight songs and a poem, sounding at first unruffled like Fleetwood Mac on Tusk, next exalted like Kate Bush on any old album, and then hallucinatory and dazed Inga Copeland-style. Hi-fi, lo-fi, past, and present all weave their distinctive marks together to buttress a voice that seems utterly unrestricted. Fascinating! Ok, we’ve used that word before. But there could be worse words to use twice.” Torstrassen Festival 2016
