What does the Dutch word Kopstootje stand for? It translates as headbutt; but one we promise involves no headaches, as it refers to the local equivalent of the German “Herrengedeck”: pairing a reputed Dutch beer with a spirited sidekick, the most popular liquor of The Lowlands (The Netherlands)...Genever.
Capturing flavours from herbs and spices originally sourced by explorers who contributed to the golden days of The Lowlands, both drinks cosy up alongside each other in a historically telling way.

For this event Lowlander Beer, a brewery based in Amsterdam which brews with botanicals, paired up with the prestigious distillery De Borgen at Hooghoudt, honouring the tradition as well as giving this Dutch boilermaker a modern crafty twist.
