Background
In today‘s beerworld gruitbeers are probably the most exotic creatures. Albeit this in the meantime died out beerstyle, had been the prominent beerstyle all over Northern Europe until the 15th century. A very few brewers all over the world dedicated their craft to recreate the mediavel beerstyle, where different herbs were used to spice the beer. Every year in February those brewers celebrate the International Gruitday. The German Institute for Gruitculture organises the „Grutkulturfestival“, which is a follow-up to the past two International Gruitdays celebrated in Münster.

Grutkulturfestival Münster 2020
On Saturday, the 15th of February 2020 the German Institute for Gruitculture in close cooperation with restaurant Fischbrathalle, is inviting brewers and beerlovers for Grutkulturfestival Münster 2020. Local and international gruitbeer brewers, professionals and homebrewers, offer their concoctions. The kitchen staff of Fischbrathalle is serving pairing dishes – with and without fish. The festival is intended as a casual meetup which motivates to discuss the not so everyday beer creations. Brewers and visitors have the chance to communicate with each other.

The Location
With the success of the past two events, where we reached the maximum capacity early in the evening, we began searching for alternatives. For the upcoming festival we have the chance to host at the historic fishrestaurant „Fischbrathalle“ in the old town center of Münster. We now have enough space, warm food and a classy atmosphere.
