Back in March, before all of this craziness started, I was planning to do an Australian style brunch at Two Fellas. That, unfortunately, had to be cancelled. UNTIL NOW! Almost 6 months later we're finally doing it so come on down and get your brunch fix along with coffee, mimosas and (of course) beer.
For those of you who are wondering what an Australian brunch is, keep reading.
You're guaranteed to see at least one Avo toast dish, a variation of an eggs Benny and a "dessert for breakfast"dish. It's defined by a huge variety of ultra fresh and seasonal produce, put together in interesting flavour combinations. It's about being completely open to food influences of our long history of immigration, especially the foods of Italy, Greece, China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Lebanon (Sometimes even combining them). Australia is a melting pot country and in places like that, cuisines can really be explored without limitation. The food is obviously in the forefront but the secondary factor is having a lazy weekend morning, rolling out of bed to meet a group of friends and indulge in something special. The ritual of it is one of the best parts so please join us for this one.
Here's the menu:
Poached eggs on sourdough with apple salsa verde, charred vine tomato, smoked sea salt and salad - 10.0 ADD BACON 1.50
Smashed avocado on toast with Persian style feta, black sesame, chilli, coriander, mint and salad 10.0 ADD EGG 1.00
Bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel - 8.0 or Kim chi, egg and cheese on an everything bagel - 7.0
Jalapeno and cheddar Belgian waffle stack with bourbon maple syrup, grilled peaches and fresh figs - 10.0 ADD BACON 1.50
Side Salad: Bulls blood, sorrel, raddicchio, frisee salad, kombucha vinaigrette, toasted seed blend, yellow baby roma tomato
That, unfortunately, had to be cancelled.
