Next weeks edition of New Brew Thursday comes from Red Hook in Brooklyn, New York. We are featuring Sixpoint brewery, one of the hard workers and true believers of the brewing craft who have been producing great beers since 2004.

Sixpoint take their profession and history quite seriously. Their passion for their work is reinforced in their motto "Beer is culture" which refers to man´s fascination with beer making and the lifestyle brewers throughout history have led.

The Six point star the brewery uses as their logo has actually been used as a brewers symbol since the 1300´s to adorn barrels and breweries as a mark of excellence, becoming the official insignia of the Brewer's Guild by the 1500´s.
Nowadays this powerful star represents six different critical elements of the craft itself: grain, water, hops, yeast, malt, and the brewer.

We´ve been eagerly awaiting this excellent brewery to make it here and we will have on our taps their fantastic Bengali IPA & Resin Imperial IPA so you can taste and experience what this passionate craft brewery is all about.
