??Bock auf Budapest x Berliner beer?

At Straßenbräu we're going to have the pleasure of hosting fine folks and award-winning Budapester brewers Horizont this Berliner Beer Week, with five of their beers on our taps including a Berliner Weiße we collaborated on! Prost to that!

Unicorns On Acid - gin-inspired Berliner Weiße
ABV: 4.5%
What's the drink of the summer? Gin, obviously, unarguably, indubitably. So, we made a beer inspired by gin, and since we brewed it in collaboration with Berlin's own Straßenbräu brewpub, we just had to make it a Berliner Weiße. Easy, refreshing and eminently drinkable, packed with spices and seasonings you'd normally find in a gin (expect juniper, cardamom, star anise and coriander... but let's see how many spices you can notice yourselves!). On tap for the first time at the Berlin Beer Week kick-off cruise. Oh, the name? We have no idea.

Rebel Berry - fruity sour
ABV: 4.5%
Raspberry bomb, beware! Our new core range beer is a light sour with a huge amount of raspberries added. Comes in a vibrant red colour, with a creamy and easy-drinking mouthfeel, and is more fruity then tart. Just like a candy! Enjoy all year round!

Take Me Somewhere Nice (w/ White Stork Beer Co.) - passionfruit sour IPA

An acid-inspired IPA that packs a punch, with a lot of fresh fruitiness, hops and just a bit of sourness that freshens it all up! In collaboration with Karel, our good friend from White Stork brewery in Bulgaria.

This commitment has led to us becoming the first Hungarian brewery to win a Grand Champion Award at the Dublin Craft Beer Cup, in 2017. Among other national and international nods, we are proud to say that our Altbier, Günther von Düsseldorf, has been selected Grand Champion on the “Beer of Hungary” contest in 2018, while our Gentle Bastard came in 2nd in the IPA category.
